Accounts for Customers at Suters Ltd over the years Suters provided account facilities for customers. Credit cards were certainly not around when various types of accounts were lauched to atrract customers to spend in the stores.

When
credit cards did come on the scene "Access"
came to Suters in the early 1970s, followed later by Barclaycard.
Access had been established by certain UK and Irish banks as an alternative
to the Barclaycard that had been around since the mid 1960s. Although
Suters Ltd banked with Barclays Bank, they opted for
the more favourable merchant rates from Access.
